Join James Fletcher, Managing Director, Alta Pete Consulting (ACT) when he come to Hobart to deliver a (hopefully) F2F workshop that follows on the heels of his very successful and well-attended virtual webinars run by the Society in April 2020. This workshop will cover a range of important topics to help you as a legal professional. The workshop will cover:
- Practical and interactive activities relevant to peak performance and well-being in your workplace.
- Practical guidance on achieving work-life balance and improving well-being to assist your firm and team work productivity, including the popular Corporate Athlete and Resilience Reservoir frameworks);
- Techniques for identifying and using signature strengths to build resilience within your team to help deal with difficult circumstances;
- Proven methods for creating recharge time and working at peak efficiency in a sustainable way;
- An introduction to key concepts relating to wellbeing, resilience, stress management and emotional regulation;
- Techniques for effective emotional self-awareness, including managing common triggers and 'hot button' issues; and
- Methods for dealing with stressful situations, including when working remotely.

James is a former Senior Executive Service-level Government lawyer, managing a branch of some 30 lawyers and leading work on significant legislative projects like the NDIS, problem gambling reforms and Stronger Futures in the NT. He is a Level 3 credentialed Executive and Organisational Coach; accredited mediator and trainer as well as being an accredited practitioner in the use of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) and Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI).
James' specialties include: adaptive leadership, leading in a VUCA environment, leading change, and building productive and healthy workplace cultures. He regularly provides: professional workshops; customised leadership programs and 1-1 executive coaching for professionals.
