The Law Society presents again in 2019 a series of 3 seminars offering PD support and skill-building for legal support team members. These seminars were very well attended in 2018 so the series is back by popular demand (and has taken into consideration valuable feedback from last year's attendees)!
The seminars are being conducted over three Wednesdays at lunchtime 12.30-2pm

Get tips on ensuring efficient and accurate assistance to your firms clients to provide the best results for executors and beneficiaries whilst maintaining an understanding of and consideration to the emotional component of estate administration.
- Gain an understand the basics of management of ongoing charitable trusts; trusts and estates with complex capital gain taxation issues; estate assets held both interstate and internationally; and administration of estates and trusts with missing executors and beneficiaries.
Bridget had a small business background before entering practice in 2005. She has specialised in the area of wills and estates since that time, becoming known for her work both inside and outside the legal profession. Bridget currently teaches the Wills and Estates component of the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course (UTAS). Bridget is a regular guest on ABC Local Radio discussing these topics, as well as being a member of the Elder Law and Succession Committee of the Law Society of Tasmania. She is a long-standing supporter of the advancement of women in the legal profession and is a former President of Tasmanian Women Lawyers Inc. and former Director of Australian Women Lawyers Limited. Bridget is also a Director of the Ian Harrington Group.
Angela will join Bridget as this is a topic area close to her heart! Angela has worked in the legal industry for over 25 years and specialises in estate and trust administration. Her experience in estate law includes management of ongoing charitable trusts; trusts and estates with complex capital gain taxation issues; estate assets held both interstate and internationally; and administration of estates and trusts with missing executors and beneficiaries.
